Describe a natural scenery from top to bottom – sky to ground.
A bright sun burns through the thin, high-elevation atmosphere. It’s unusually warm for an early December day. But, the surrounding mountains seem so far away. Still, they undulate, bend, and descend to cradle the world’s largest alpine lake. Stretched across 20 miles, the water meets my feet on the opposite side. It’s cold and somehow inviting, so I step in, tip-toeing on big granite boulders. The bottom of the lake is mostly full of granite stones, with speckled appearances of jade and carnelian.
